Seattle Jazz Composers Ensemble Coming Soon…

I’m really getting excited about the Seattle Jazz Composers Ensemble’s newest project. This time we will be featuring the music of film composer Ennio Morricone. Recently we found out that we received a smART Ventures grant to help us produce the event. I would like to thank SJCE co-director, Michael Owcharuk for his grant-writing savvy and Paul Rucker of the Seattle Mayor’s Office of Film and Music for guiding us along the way. This concert promises to be an exciting blend of musical styles, as we have commissioned several brand new compositions and arrangements by some of Seattle’s finest musicians.

I would also like to thank the Seattle International Film Festival, Scarecrow Video and Ballard Blockbuster Video for their support.

Le Trio @ The Pink Door

Le Trio will be performig at the Pink Door, on January 12, 19 and 26, from 8pm to 11pm. We have been expanding our already eclectic repertoire, and are fresh off a fruitful holiday season. We are excited to have 3 weeks in a row at a venue, as it will allow us to build on our successes week to week.

At long last I’m proud to announce the release of a project I’m extremely proud of. It has been a great working with Spekulation and DJ AbsoluteMadman on this project. they have taught me a lot about a kind of music that I really didn’t know a whole lot about. I’m looking forward to great things for the new year for this project. I would like to thank Jeremy Jones, Josh Rawlings, Brendan O’Donnell, Scott Morning, Jason Parker, Mike Dodge, Eli Clark, Elsa Nillson, and Cody Rahn for their efforts and contributions in helping me create some great backgrounds for a great up and coming artist.

The album is a free download. Please help us spread the word about this music. Our future is it’s germination…

I’ve got two more Le Trio performances this week. I’ve been really happy with the progress we’ve been making in this group. We’re really starting to phrase thing together, and we’ve beginning to sense the ever-present “Invisible Conductor”. It doesn’t hurt that we’re starting to find our business niche as well. I hope to see you there.
